Founder

Deborah A. Hall, founder and president of Hall & Associates, Ltd.  In 2007 she was named the Chair of the National Association of Executive Recruiters. H&A is the only firm in the hospitality space that is a member of this organization, which holds its members to a strict rule of integrity and ethics in their practices. She has spent 9 years personally connecting with the talent nationally and has learned how to quickly assess what make one candidate superior to another.

Prior to launching her business in December of 1998, Hall worked for McGetting Partners in successfully opening their Chicago branch office; prior to that she was the Director of Sales at the Whitehall Hotel in Chicago and prior to that she spent 7 years with Hyatt at the Park Hyatt and the Hyatt Suites.  She started her career at the Mayfair Regent Hotel & Regent International Group. She is a board member of the National Association of Executive Recruiters, plays an active role in Meeting Professionals International and Professional Convention Management Association and a member of Midwest Business Travel Association. Her current philanthropic pursuit is with Global Alliance for Africa in developing their Hospitality & Tourism Vocational Center.  She is a Deacon at Fourth Presbyterian Church, Chicago.

Joan Taffe, first joined Hall & Associates, Ltd. in 1999 working part time while she was working in Sales for the Swissotel Chicago. She re-joined us in 2007.  She is a 15 year veteran of the hospitality industry. Taffe started her career at the Chicago Hilton & Towers in the Sales & Marketing department.
